Tunku Abdul Rahman College is a local Academy of the Cisco Networking Academy Program since 2005.The Cisco Networking Academy Program is designed to teach various levels of students to design, build and maintain computer networks for local, national and global businesses.

The Cisco Networking Laboratories are equipped with four premium bundles of Cisco CCNA networking equipment (consisting of 24 routers and 12 switches), 8 wireless access point, more than 120 high performance PCs, network test equipment, cabling tools and relevant network simulation software. The PCs in the laboratories are networked to two servers with Intel Xeon processors for Internet access.

The laboratories are also equipped with additional 12 routers with advanced features, 6 layer 3 POE switches, 6 layer 2 switches, 3 ASA firewall with anti-X, 3 ASA firewall with IPS, 6 wireless access points and 6 IP phones. These equipment allow students to carry out advanced networking, VOIP and network security experiments.

These facilities are dedicated for student from various programmes, namely Microelectronics with Computer Communications, Microelectronics with Automatic Control, Information System Engineering, Internet Telecommunications to experience, design and develop computer network configurations. Apart from that, the laboratories also serve as training facilities for the faculty, staff and public.
