The memorial is located at the Eerbeekseweg in Loenen.
The text on the memorial:

The reconnaissance Regiment of the English 49th West Riding “Polar Bear” Infantry Division, part of the 1st Canadian Army Corps, was ordered on April 16 1945 to exploring the area between the straatweg Arnhem-Woeste Hoeve and the Apeldoorns Dierens Channel and to clean it from German troops.
By these action, the villages Eerbeek and Loenen were liberated.
On May 6 2000, this memorial was unveiled to commemorate the "Polar Bears".
