Dedicated in honor of former Santa Monica Mayor Ken Genser (1950-2010), whose leadership, vision, and legacy can be felt throughout the community. As a lifetime Santa Monica resident, he began his 30-year public service career as an appointee to a City Task Force working to revise the Housing Element in 1980. Genser served on Santa Monica City Council for 21 years, including 3 terms as Mayor and 2 as Mayor Pro Tempore.
