This is the location at which those who lack military issued credentials can obtain temporary passes if a escort is willing to vouch for them. On occasion they do check the "barred individuals list" for foreign nationals, retirees and expats who have run afoul of polices and procedures (black marketing, photos on the flight line, etc.). If you are visiting Kadena Air Base for the first time or lack the credentials to allow you on base, local DSN phones are available to call an escort who can then assist with obtaining a pass to get on base. Don't park you car here for a long period of time. Drunk? Expired Road Tax/Insurance? This is your last bail-out point... not sure what the penalties if your car is towed from here, but I'm sure it's better than getting gigged for a DUI. Stupidly, Taxis are not generally available in this area.
