This is the location at which vehicle inspections generally occure. In the mornings, this includes most of the commercial vehicles going into Kadena Air Base. Since this is usually the *only* active vehicle inspection point commercial traffic can get backed up here. Visual inspections are the general rule, but the covered location offers the ability to mount specialized apparatus if necessary. POVs, taxis and rental vehicles may be directed into this area at times for "random" inspections. This lane exits into the two lane road that leads on base. Be careful during the mornings as the commercial vehicles will usually spend +30mins for inspection and are usually anxious to get to their destinations after clearing the inspection point.

  • I have been trying without success to find out how I can get passes to get on the base for my family who will be staying at Gateway Navy Inn and Suites We will be arriving at different times and days from Ohio. Can anyone please give me a number so I can contact Pass and Registration. The number on the web page no one answers.
