Neoclassical (architecture), Greek Revival (architecture), historic house
Built in 1899, this house was designed by Katharine Kitt. Unusual for the Greek Revival in Tucson, the facade of this house is the only example of a complete classical temple portico. The house is built of adobe. The living space is extended through the addition of the deep porch, which occupies the entire west end of the house. The columns are fluted Doric with capitals, and a lunette attic vent sits in the center of the pediment. Diagonal interior walls suggest an interest in the Queen Anne style.
