The Holy Cross was built in 2013 by the youth of kafarhatna with the help and support of all the families.
The first mass was celebrated on 14-September-2013 the day of "The Feast Of The Cross". This feast is celebrated yearly ever since.
In 2014 & 2015, the site expanded to become an open air church. While the trail/Parth to the hill is preserved in it's natural state in order to provide a true spiritual experience while going up to the cross.
on Good Friday, the procession of "The Way Of The Cross" & "The Stations Of The Cross" take place on the trail.
