Charles H. Noyes Statue, Ballinger, Runnels County, Texas.
This statue was erected in 1919 by Gus and Lula Noyes in tribute to their son, who died at the age of 21 due to a freak accident. A calf had collided with the horse young Noyes was riding and both he and the horse tumbled, breaking the neck of and killing Charles H. Noyes. His parents were so grief stricken that they sold their ranch and moved to Florida.
