Opened on July 1, 2022 by owner Dan Marsich, it was expanded into the former Giftland/Giftland Plaza (June 13, 1958-c. 2000's), Riverfront Souvenirs & Gifts/Riverfront Shops & Restaurants (c. 2000's-2013), and Riverfront Terrace (mid 2018-November 20, 2022) in Spring 2023.

Its restaurant and bar building (located at the eastern end) used to house Indian Jewelry & Moccasin Shop ([western end of the building {23-25 Broadway})] June 13, 1958-c. 2011 [building portion demolished in early-March 2016]), Riverfront Souvenirs & Gifts ([second quarter of the building {27 Broadway}] June 13, 1958-late 2013), The Cheesey Tomato ([second quarter of the building {27 Broadway}] July 1, 2014-2017), Riverfront Market ([second quarter of the building {27 Broadway}] late-2019-late 2021), Cheesecake Heaven ([third quarter of the building {29 Broadway}] 2003-2012 [relocated to 231 Broadway]), Ho-Chunk Gaming Casino Information Center ([third quarter of the building {29 Broadway}] 2014-c. Summer 2016), Bella Goose Coffee ([third quarter of the building {29 Broadway}] September 13, 2018 [originally relocated at the Timber Falls Village strip mall {demolished in 2019} at 1009 Stand Rock Road]-March 30, 2019 [relocated to 744 Eddy Street]), and Riverview Boat Line and Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf Administrative Offices ([eastern end of the building, was 31 broadway at that time] until c. 2020).

During the 1950's until the early 2010's, Riverfront Souvenirs & Gifts (was Giftland during the early days) had been a place where visitors to the Dells could pick up a Wisconsin Dells souvenir. You could find anything from a t-shirt to jewelry, Minnetonka Moccasins, and more. At one point, the whole bottom floor of the shops was an arcade. It was located in this area. One-third of the building was demolished in 2014 and later one portion in early-March 2016. The Riverfront sign (was Giftland in the early days) in capital letters is still sitting on top of The District restaurant and bar building!
