This memorial commemorates Indiana casualties of World War II. Indiana lost nearly 12,000 soldiers to the war, and another 17,000 returned home wounded. A unique feature of this memorial is the freestanding column that lists, in order, all the campaigns and operations of the war. Brunner, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, designed the memorial. The memorial was dedicated in 1998.
