PERUMATHURA - MUTHALAPPOZHI BRIDGE. The foundation stone for the bridge, which provides better connectivity from Kollam to Veli, Shanghumugham and Kovalam areas, was laid in March 2011. The bridge will also boost tourism prospects in the area known for Kadakkavoor, Anchuthengu Fort, Varkala beach, Kayikkara Asan memorial, Pulimoottil Kadavu and Attingal Palace among other places. It also boosts rail connectivity, courtesy the Kadakkavoor Railway Station and Kochuveli railway station.
