Balaji Temple near Pune around 45 mins from Pune on Pune Bangalore Highway. Please cross toll booth (70 Rs both way toll as of May 2008) and travel south 4KMs to Kapurvol phata/junction. Take a left turn, the Balaji temple is just 4km.
Also further travel to Narayanpur (another 8KMs thru winding beautiful ghat) to visit ekmukhi (one face) ShreeDutt temple and a nice Shivji temple very next)

  • Is there bus services from Swargate Pune to Balaji Mandir Ketkawale near Pune on Pune Banglore Highway
  • Hi Sushil, from Swargate you can board ST buses going towards Satara , Kolhapur side and get down at Kapurhol Phata or just tell the conductor you want to go to Balaji Mandir.The bus will drop you on the highway and on the left hand side you should see the road going towards Narayanpur ( you will also see a huge arch with Teertha Kshetra Narayanpur written on it.) You can catch a shared auto from here for a 10 minute ride to the temple. You may also visit Ek Mukhi Datta Mandir and Narayaneshwar Shiv Mandir at Narayanpur which is just 8kms from the Balaji Temple. The scenic Purandhar fort is very close to Narayanpur, and it presents beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Note: Do not forget to carry a camera, this area presents great photo opportunities, particularly in monsoons when the whole countryside turns green and you will also find numerous waterfalls along the way.
