Ongala Audio-visual Center (Balgarevo)

Bulgaria / Dobric / Kavarna / Balgarevo

A unique audio-visual center near the village of Bulgarevo, Kavarna municipality, Dobrich region, presents the history of Bulgaria from its creation to the present day, as well as life in our lands before its foundation. In a building resembling an ongle - the fortification of the Bulgarians, which Khan Asparukh built before the decisive battle in 680, 9 halls tell about the difficult and glorious days of our ancestors and our country. The dissemination of historical events is audio-visual, in seven languages without a tour guide. During the entire time of the talk, the light is turned off, and in the respective hall it is lit only in front of the image of the historical action or person, about whom the story is being told at the moment. This makes the talk interesting and exciting and captures the attention of the visitors. Guests who want to feel the spirit of the Bulgarian wars of the Middle Ages can put on breastplates similar to those worn by our famous heroes.
The audio-visual center is an initiative of Valentin Simeonov, who is an amateur historian. Expansion and enrichment of the center is to come.
