district, draw only border, do not draw title
Rough outline of the Qandil region. Named after the Qandil mountain. The outline lacks proper outline, mainly due to a "too big polygon" limitation for the creator of this polygon. The northern section should go along the Piranshar-Rwanduz road. Western & southern borders should reflect the base of the mountains. The mountains themselves go beyond the Iraqi border, well into Iran.
The Kurdish PKK has its main HQ here and have full control over the mountains.
The mountain is in intense bombardment by the Turkish Airforce, wich started a campaign against PKK in Jully 2015.
