Lone Eagle Peak stands tall over Mirror Lake, it is located in the Indian Peaks Wilderness of Roosevelt National Forest – (north central Colorado, USA). In order to get to the Mirror Lake you need to follow an 8 mile trail (15 mile round-trip) along Cascade Creek and to Crater Lake (which begins at Monarch Lake.) There are some great campsites next to Mirror Lake. (camping permit can be purchased at the ranger’s station next to Monarch Lake Trailhead).
