Medical center affiliated with SUNY Stony Brook University. The medical school was renamed the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University in recognition of a $500M donation from hedge fund Renaissance Technologies which was founded by James Simons.

Its campus was designed by noted modernist architect Bertrand Goldberg.
