On 12 September 1908, at St. Margaret's, Westminster, Clementine Hozier married Winston Churchill. They first lived at 12 Bolton Street in London, Winston's bachelor apartment. In early 1909 they bought a nine-year lease on 33 Eccleston Square, Victoria, London, where Diana was born on 11 July that year.
