district, neighborhood, NRHP - National Register of Historic Places
The Tahoe Meadow's historic district is evidence of early development in the 1920s and 1930s when the introduction of the automobile and improved roads made traveling to Lake Tahoe more accessible. This development is the earliest example of a planned subdivision with a home owners association and a covenant to protect the local environment. Some structures which were erected in the 1920s and 1930s are still here and contribute to its historic importance.
Tahoe Meadows Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as # 90000555
