Lake Mackenzie is located in Briscoe County, Texas 12 miles northwest of Silverton and 27 miles east of Tulia. Operated by Mackenzie Municipal Water Authority, the lake was created to furnish water to member cities of Floydada, Lockney, Silverton, and Tulia. It also provides many recreation activities for the communities in the surrounding area.
