The Brief history of the solar fields goes kind of like this in the early 2010's agreements with San Diego County and Imperial County had sparked an agreement with each other. This agreement sparking later due to governor Jerry Brown a democratic individual who signed into law a requirement that California needs to get 33% of its electricity from renewable sources, such as wind and solar energy, by the year 2020.2 This is significant, because California is going to try to do whatever it has to do in order for it to successfully fulfill what the governor has demanded on it. That means the building of free solar panels on all campus funded by the government and also the sailing of cheap solar panels to individuals in California due to the goal that California's Governor has set.

The Solar fields use to stand for something else. Those Solar fields use to stand for greed and self desire for the accomplishment of pride. However overtime that meaning has changed for the people of the valley found that even though those solar panels don't benefit the valley they benefit California as a whole. The mind set of the people in the Valley has changed in a form or fashion to try to benefit the majority rather than the minority. This ideology has shaped why this monument is so fundamentally righteous and gracious to the youth who see through a greater perspective than the older individuals.

This monument is used as symbol of the future of the valley and California, but not only just California also the whole United States which is influenced by the development of west coast culture, fashions, and trends.
