result of the efforts to research the tumulus and gain information about the burial chamber of King Antiochos I by the German archeologist Karl Friedrich Dörner in 1956. Result: the tumulus is not completely out of rubble. The gravel was poured above the existing rock of the summit and covering it with a layer of different size. Information in terms of the burial chamber could not be gained.
