Armenian Taurus (Armenian: Հայկական Տավրոս, Turkish: Doğu Toroslar, Greek: Αρμενικός Ταύρου) - mountain system passing along the southern part of the Armenian Highlands in the central part of south of present-day Turkey. It stretches 650 km long from the Cilician Gates (Arm: Կիլիկյան Դրունք, Tur: Gülek Boğazı) mountain pass eastward to the Bohtan river (south of Lake Van). Width is 35-100 km, the average height is 1800-2300 m. Highest peaks: Ishkhanasar/Akdağ, Simsar/Kurtik, Marutasar/Mereto are 3000 m high.
