Bada Talav or Bada Talab in Deccani (Hindi / Urdu) Language means Major tank. The Deccan Plateau is formed due to the eruption of Lava and has many natural small lakes / tanks and some are formed with little human intervention. This 'major water tank' is the main source of land irrigation in the village of Kadechur (Taluqa Yadgir, District Gulbarga of Karnataka of India)for growing Paddy).
