The Hollywood life made its debut in India this year with themed-resort Planet Hollywood Goa rolling out the red carpet in the quiet village of Utorda. This niche resort is the first Planet Hollywood resort operational outside the US and is only the second such resort after Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas.

Owned and built from the ground up by gutka baron (Goa Gutka) Jagdish Joshi's J M J Group which has the exclusive rights for the brand in South East Asia, the 115-room resort is aimed at the luxury traveller and yet gives off a youthful and vibrant feel.

The moment a guest walks into the lobby, one is greeted by the trademark Heart Bar that is unique to all Planet Hollywood resorts.

The entire wall of the Heart Bar pays tribute to
celebrated Hollywood actors and directors.

"To say that we are aimed at the 25-40 age segment would be cliched. We are in the business of making you feel like a celebrity but we do it by endearing ourselves to children," general manager Anand Chatterjee says.
Planet Hollywood Beach Resort, Goa is located on the white sands Uttorda Beach at South Goa bound by Majorda Beach on the South and Cansaulim Beach on the North. The hotel is a tourist’s paradise for its low-rise architecture depicting elegant Goan style, breathtaking landscapes, dramatic sculptures and art work.
