Rock quarry that became a lake after a natural spring was hit. Water was very deep and ice cold all summerl that and cliffs nearing 100' made for great summer swimming and diving. Due to many near death accidents over the many years it has been a lake, the grounds were regularly patrolled by security guards.

The lake was significantly filled in in 2011.

  • Back in the 80s, the shores of this quarry lake were a virtual beach, packed with people sunbathing and swimming in the cold water. Jumping off the cliffs into the deep water was a popular pastime. Many parties were held in this quarry. It was a fun place. Till the cops came.
  • Many of the "jumping cliffs" from back in the late 70s / early 80s are now well under water. I remember riding motorcycles into the quarry late at night...parking at the top of a cliff...and then running toward the edge and falling into the darkness below. Great memories! The things teenage boys will do for fun....
