KANT'EGH MOUNTAIN TOP

Kant'egh (Armenian: Կանթեղ, meaning: luminaire) is a mountain top in the west of Tzakhkants (Armenian: Ծաղկանց, meaning: blooming) ridge at the mid of Armenian Highlands, inside of the borders of nowday's Turkey. Elevation is 3383 meters above sealevel. After the Armenian genocide (1915-23) The mountain's name had been turkified (Kandıl Başka) according to Turkish state sponsored program on "replacing all Armenian toponyms with Turkish ones" (Turkish officials reject recognizing killing of 2 million Armenians in 1890-1923 as genocide and say "there were no significant Armenian population and there were no Armenian state entities before the 1918.
