Ağrı Province (Kurdish: Parêzgeha Agirî/پارێزگای ئاگری, Turkish: Ağrı ili), part of the geo-cultural region sometimes called "Northern Kurdistan", borders Iran to the east, Iğdır to the North, Erzurum to the Northwest, Muş and Bitlis to the Southwest, Van to the south, and Iğdır to the northeast. Area 11,376 km². Population 542,022, mostly kurdish people.(2010 est).
The province includes Mount Ararat, a biblical symbol and a national symbol for Armenia, and mainly corresponds to Bagrevand district of greater Ayrarat province of Historical Armenia.
