Notes: This ranger station was originally built for Lake Mountain fire fighting crews. The site includes a combination house/office and a barn. From the NRHP nomination: "The Los Burros Ranger Station meets the National Register criteria for its historic association with the inception of Federal policy for the conservation of the nation's timber and watershed resources, and, less generally, with the establishment of the Sitgreaves National Forest."
