Tengako is an island/ peninsula at the north end of Fongafale islet of Funafuti, Tuvalu. At the end of the island/peninsula is Amatuku islet on which the Tuvalu Maritime Training Institute is located.
Tengaku has been classified as a peninsula of Fongafale, and is linked to it by a causeway. However, a study of the satellite photos indicates that in recent times it has again been separated probably by erosion, and should be called an island (which it probably was originally).
