beach, park, camp, coast
This point on the South Surrey/White Rock peninsula was used for centuries by the Coast Salish First Nations as a place of spiritual renewal. Kwomais literally means "place of vision". It offers an unparalleled view of the waters of Boundary Bay and the surrounding Gulf Islands. The Camp Kwomais property at the top of the bluffs opened in 1910 and is still used today, making it the oldest camp in B.C. still using its original site.
