Also cultivation of paddy,coconut,ground nut,suger cane, cotton and some vegetable varities are happening here.Agriculture is mainly depending on rain water. Rain water will fall on small lakes and ponds that to be used for vegetations by making small canels. Also kattumavadi centers the travellers and other passers as being a juction of three main district routes, Pudukottai,Thanjaur & Ramanathapuram and refreshes by giving a small tea sipping leisure to their long travel. Also has a beach line that enchants outsiders who are coming from non sea shore area. This marine Striped village has one salt factory also that managed by Govt. of India. Those lanes that made for salt crystals sedimentation are good to see and nice to enjoy. Bordered flushy trees and small plants are being a vital role in domestic animal feeding. Guests they can enjoy sitting and playing in coconut trees shadowed places by getting cool evening breeze.
