Ammapattinam is a coastal village in Pudukkottai district of Tamil Nadu, India with exclusively Muslim population
There are two main streets called "South" and "North" along with a number of satellite hamlets each. Although both speak Tamil, they vastly differ in custom. There are seven mosques including a thawheth (tntj) mosque.

  • Do you know that both Ammapattinam Girls school and Crescent Mat, School got 100% pass in SSLC/Matric 2009? One girl in Govt school got 477 / 500 marks! Govt should do something to improve the school buildings.

  • in the ammapattinam village is most of the muslim people are living but politicians visiting only at the election times, street lights are not working properly it means darkening and silented at after 8 o clock evening also basic facilities of living like as waterline hospitals and schools are not operated propely,and everyone have motor cycles to go for entaitainment near the small town manamelkudi,transportation are going unlimited very fast it makes increasing an accidents day by day after installed the new ECR highway from chennai to tuticorin with shoreline area,and so many more...
