The present castle in Louis XVI-style succeeded a former castle destroyed in 1365. A square tower was added much later, as well as a landscaped park.
The u-shaped farmhouse faces the western side of the castle. Cramp irons point to 1764 as the construction date.
The building is in the hands of the non-profit heritage organization Stichting Limburgs Landschap.
