According to the data sheet for the no longer extant "Kearney DC0911 (1938)" reference mark, the old dirigible mooring mast was located 0.6 miles from it, placing it someplace in this area. A map of the La Jolla Quadrangle from the same era places the mast a little further away.
The mooring mast was used in the rigid Zeppelin era for both the former Naval vessels USS Akron and USS Macon.
There are photographs of the airships moored, but not of the surrounding area to help pinpoint the location of said landmark.
