This village was resettled on account of the construction of Bui Dam (2009-2013). Although not inundated, the site is surrounded on three sides by the reservoir (towards the south, east and west) and as a result, access to other settlements and facilities is limited to a dirt road which traverses through the Cote d’Ivoire.
