Formerly the District Lunatic Asylum known as Eglinton Asylum, which was once the longest building in Ireland before demolition of a section split it in two.
The Male and Female Divisions in the now separate section of the asylum are in use as private apartments, although the Male Division is mostly derelict.

The building was completed in 1852, and was designed by the architect William Atkins
