  The Institute playground lies in front of Tagore Institute. I remember having played football and cricket in this ground in my childhood days, or simply ran races just for the sake of sheer joy and fun of running the ground. Sports and atheletic events used to be held here in the past. Football and cricket matches also used to be held in the ground on regular basis. During puja festival and other occasions fair and carnivals were organized in the ground. Our life was confined to the simple joys and happiness of occasional festvals taking place in the ground. There were circus and cycle race in the adjoining gound of Paltandanga. Many social and cultural functions used to be held in Tagore Institute. It is sad that it now stands in derelict and delapidated condition as a mute relic of the past with all its glory and splendour of bygone days vanished
