Khekra also spelt as Khekara, Khekada is a town and Nagar Panchayat in Khekra Block Khekada Tehsil in Baghpat District of Uttar Pradesh. It is also the headquarter of Khekada Tehsil. It is around 8 km south of Baghpat.
This town is famous for its handloom products. Almost all the handloom and power loom units in Khekra are directly or indirectly exporting to different European and South-Asian countries.
Khekra railway station is on the Shahdara -Saharanpur line.

  • Khekra is not only famous among people from khekra but also from other nearby villages. It was big business center between 60s to 80s. Me and My grandfather would visit from lehchora village, the mandi located close to khekra Railway station in 1980s to sell the wheat harvested in april every year. i was in my teens at that time. We would come a night before the mandi opens the next day. My grandfather passed away in Dec 2002 but he still lives in my memory. I think of him as very laborius, hardworking farmer. He had a very desciplined life. He would get up at 4:00 AM in summers to till his land. I arrived in USA after completing my Bachelors degree in engineering in 2000. But I still feel, I am not 10% of my grandfather was and father is. These computers have made us useless.
  • Hi, I am Deepak belongs to khekra but now living in Delhi. Khekra is very close to delhi and there is good transportation to to Delhi, Merrut, Sonipat, Gahzibad. Now it is doveloping more because of Eastern pheripharel highway which is comming from Kundli and end up in Palwal via Ghz, Noida and Faridabad. It would be only 40 min drive from khekra to Noida after completion of this project.

  • Khekra is my birth place. I had enjoyed 21 years, since my birth, in my town. Then I left my town due my job's necessities. Now, I am working as Inspector in BSF and visited almost all the directions of India being a BSF soldier, but none of is better than my town. Khekra. None of the days of my life I didn't miss my town's memory I had grabbed in my childhood.

Speaking of problems...well what place doesn't have problems? All places have its problems / issues, the key is learning to deal / cope with them.

THIS SCHOOL AND AREA WAS SANCTIONED BY THE BRITISH RULE AND ST. PETER WILLIAM WAS THE PASTER IN THIS SCHOOL AND WE HAVE A CHURCH HERE IN THIS SCHOOL COMPOUND. OUR FAMILY WAS THE FIRST FAMILY TO DO MORE GOOD WORK FOR THE PEOPLE OF THIS AREA AND ALL PERSON WHO WERE AND ARE LIVING IN THIS CITY, KHEKRA. MY FATHER MR. DAYA CHAND S/O MR. DALLEL SINGH , IS NUMBER ONE PERSON WHO WENT TO GERMANY ON DEPUTATION BY THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA. OUR FAMILY IS KNOWN AS A BUSINESS FAMILY AND NO ONE WAS TO COMPARE US FROM CITY KREKRA TO SHARANPUR, UTTER PRADESH. MY FATHER AND MY ALL FAMILY PERSON MADE A FACTORY (KHARKHANAA) FOR THE POOR PEOPLES NEAR TO MISSION SCHOOL. WE WERE NO.1 IN THIS AREA. AND MY FATHER WAS A CHOUDHARY/SIRPUNCH OF 32 VILLAGES AND HE LOVE TO DO MORE GOOD WORK FOR ALL PEOPLES. MY FAMILY IS KNOWN AS GERMANY-WALE. NOW WE ARE LIVING IN DELHI TOO. ALL PERSON RESPECT US AND WE DO MORE OF ALL. ME IS ALSO WELL KNOWN IN THIS AREA AND I LOVE TOO MUCH MY ALL VILLAGERS PERSONS, TOO. I WORK IN THE MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND MY FAMILY MEMBERS ARE ALSO ON GOOD POST. WE HAVE LAWER/ADVOCATE, DOCTOR, POLICE OFFICERS, TEACHER'S, ENGINEERS AND BUSINESS MEN/WOMEN I OUR FAMILY. WE LOVE EDUCATION AND PROMOTE TO ALL PERSON TO EDUCATE THEM AND MAKE OUR INDIA/COUNTRY STRONG BEST AND NUMBER ONE IN THIS WORLD. OUR UNCLE IS SETTED IN AMERICA WHO GOT EDUCATION FROM MISSION SCHOOL KHEKRA.MY ALL FAMILY IS EDUCATED FROM KHEKRA,UTTER PRADESH, INDIA. MY FATHER HAVE VISITED 1/2 OF THE WORLD COUNTRIES BY THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA AND AFTER RETIRED ON PRIVITE JOB TOO. I HAVE VISITED ALL EUROPE COUNTRIES AS ENGLAND, GERMANY, FRAMCE, SWITZERLAND, BELGIUM, HOLLAND, POLLAND, NETHERLAND AND OTHER COUNTRIES TOO. I PRAY TO GOD JESUS TO MAKE HAPPY AND FULLFIL THEIR ALL GOOD WISHES THEY WANT. I/WE LOVE GOOD WORK GOOD RESULT. THANKING YOU.
