Rohtak is a city and the administrative headquarters of the Rohtak district in the Indian state of Haryana. It lies 70 kilometres (43 mi) north west of New Delhi. Rohtak is the sixth most populous city in Haryana as per the 2011 census with population of 374,292 and has literacy rate of 84.08.

It has all the facilities which one requires ie educational,medical,basic needs etc. what it lacks is malls but Gurgaon is not far away.People here are good natured & physically strong. It has really developed fast in the last few years and a person coming to Rohtak after several years is simply astonished to see its growth.Good luck to Rohtak & all its residents.

  • Rohtak is city of my beloved ancestors,Chaudhary Bastiram,who became first Namberdar of Village Bohar in1860.Chaudhary Jamnadas who was the first English educated Jat,first Headmasrerof District School of Rohtak(1860). Chaudhary Devi Singh,who was a renowned social reformer and he along with Chaudhary Matu Ram Arya of Sanghi village, Chaudhary Chhotu Ram and others founded Jat School in1913.
  • I landed in this historic city in 1977 to join thhe then Medical college. This institution is my "KARM BHUMI" when I came back to India after my training in the U.K.,IRELAND,and CANADA. The people are one of tjhe most affectionate and courteous in the world. I still visit this lovely place.
