16.7’-wide, 3-story, mixed-use townhouse completed in sometime in the late 1800's. The facade is clad in grey-painted and thickly parged brick on the upper floors, and has grey stucco on the ground floor. The entrance is at the west end, with a wood-framed glass door atop a small grey-stone stoop, below a rounded navy-blue canvas canopy that angles down over the stoop and then extends out over the sidewalk. To the right is a projecting, wood-framed bay window with a small, sloped metal roof.

The upper floors have two bays of 3-over-6 windows with blue wooden exterior shutters, and grey-painted stone sills and metal cornices. Gilded lettering at the top reads "THE DUX BUILDING" and the facade is crowned by a beige metal modillioned roof cornice. The building was once home to Tennessee Williams, the American playwright whose works include "The Glass Menagerie", "A Streetcar Named Desire", and "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof".

The building was most-recently occupied by DUXIANA Uptown luxury beds.
