The Bea-MDA property covers an area of 457 km² and is covered by a Class A mining licence. It is 100% owned by Aureus Mining Inc. through their fully owned subsidiary Bea Mountain Mining Corporation. BEA was previously a wholly owned subsidiary of African Aura Mining Inc.(African Aura), formerly called Mano River Resources Inc. On April 13, 2011 African Aura completed a Plan of Arrangement where Aureus acquired its gold assets through a transfer.
