Upper Castle (Ohrid)

The citadel is a part of the medieval Samuil Fortress, which surrounded the capital of the First Bulgarian Kingdom, Ohrid, today the Republic of North Macedonia, later named in honor of King Samuil. Today, Samuil's fortress is one of the main sights of Ohrid, and the citadel of the fortress is the best restored and presented for tourist visits.
