The fort, which sits on gigantic unyielding granite pedestal had a perimeter of 172 meters, reaching 12 meters in elevation its cyclopean walls 3 feet thick at the base. It contains with 10 huge artillery fire hydrants that crown heights and also with individual defenses, one at the north and one at the south, overlooking the sea tickets in town. Military installation completed municipal buildings and a large cistern.
