The following description does not correspond to modern archeology. Eridu is located just 24 km southwest of Ur (Tell Ubaid) and has to be dated back to about 4000 b.C..So there is no evidence of the description of Sahn / Baylon below.as Babylon was mentioned for the first time in 2217 b.C. at the period of Akkad King Sharhali-shari.
So the follwoing has to be questioned.
Eridu is the most ancient region of Babylon. It was located in the heart of the Eastern city within the Amran-ibn-Ali troll and the Sahn region. The borders of Eridu County in the north were the Great Gate and the Kadingirra District, in the south - the Market Gate and Shuangna District, in the west - the Euphrates Bank, in the east Eridu was adjacent to the Kullab Quarter. In Eridu were the most important religious buildings of the city, a total of 14 churches: the central sanctuary of Esagila, the ziggurat of Etemenanki (Tower of Babel), the temples of Ekarzaginn (in honor of Ea), Erabriery (after Madanu), Egalmakh (in honor of Gula), Enamtaggaduha the honor of the Amorite deity Amurra), Eitalil (in honor of Adad), Eurkalamma (in honor of Belet Babyli / Ishtar of Babylon), Enytenna / Enistendu (in honor of Sina), Esagdilannagirutuku (in honor of Papsukkal), Ezidagishnugal (in honor of Dumuzi), Egislaanki in honor of Naboo), Eguzalamakh (in honor of Ningishzid) and Esaggashar ra (in honor of the goddess Anunit).
