This Western Cascades butte, summit elevation 3580 feet asl, could be accessed by a trail starting at Highway 58, following Deception Creek, and then climbing steeply up the ridge to the butte. However, a wildfire burned most of the Deception Creek drainage in 2014, including the butte and the trail.
