The summit of this peak is 7417 feet asl. A cupola-style lookout was built here in 1927, and several years later separate living quarters were built. The lookout is still staffed during summer fire season. A road leads to a saddle at the head of Silver Fork basin but the access road to the lookout itself is usually gated closed.
