The summit of this forested mountain is 4391 feet asl. In 1932 a fire lookout platform was built 30 feet up a fir tree. The tree remains, but a few scattered bits of old metal are the only relics of the lookout. The Alpine trail leads to the mountain from the southeast, and the Tire Mountain trail from the northwest.
