Historic school complex for African American children listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The complex consists of three buildings:

- East Suffolk Elementary School: built 1926 in the Colonial Revival style.
- East Suffolk High School: built 1938 in the Colonial Revival style; expanded 1952.
- Gymnasium building: built 1951 in the Streamline Moderne style.

East Suffolk Elementary School closed in 1952 and moved to a new building on Freeney Avenue. The old building became part of the High School. East Suffolk High School would close in 1965 and the site became once again became East Suffolk Elementary School until 1979
