also known as Mt. Tapulao, after the natives’ word for pine tree, which is abundant in disturbed portions of the mountain starting around 1400 m elevation. Highest peak in Zambales Mountain Range.

  • there's a trail leading to the top of high peak.you can start at coto mines.start a place they called screen leading to pimmalasa.then follow old road and trail used by the san beda mountaineers.camp at the summit then descent to palauig via dampay salaza.
  • the provincial govt. has passed alaw that mt. tapulao is a tourist destination.specially for nature trippers
