Mount Pulag (or sometimes Mount Pulog) is the second-highest mountain in the Philippines. The borders between the provinces of Benguet, Ifugao, and Nueva Vizcaya meet at the mountain's peak. The summit of this mountain has the record of the coldest temperature in the Philippines of -8 degree Celsius but that is unofficial and the official is only -6 degrees Celsius. This mountain has a grassy peak and its foot is a thick forest with some itas living there. Dawn at January in its summit is sometimes frosty. It will take you to climb 1-4 days depend how strong you are. The climbing of this mountain does not require special equipment like oxygen etc.

  • I've heard many news about this majestic place... I hope I could reach Mt. Pulag ;)
  • 1993..,one of my most memorable climb in the Philippines... it's a two to three days joy climb with all my things at your back...but, still we have a lot of fun mapping lots of inticing outcrop along the way. This place should be given consideration as far as budgetary funding for tourism and as well as development work for geological explorer's interest.
